VLC debug log from attempting to play same sample video as previous comment with opengl enabled and xcb disabled.

Both were tested under 2.2.1.

So far I can't find a relevant bug upstream and will report this behavior

From reading the bug report @ URL:, I would be prompting them to reopen the bug, however it's a tough lesson about getting the correct info set outlined in the first place. It's 50 50 % chance whether upstream devs will even re-visit the bug. Generally they do, in my exp., even if only to re-assert their initial opinion.

Yeah, definitely. At the very least this has taught me to pay more attention to the QA notice which clearly calls out that --enable-glx isn't used by configure. I will try posting in their forums as well to try and get more info.

I was intending on doing it later, but fine. The commit is 'correct'. New proxy maintainer (and I) hadn't quite got that far yet.
