Description Steve Romanow 2004-06-15 06:40:30 UTC
I emerged app-misc/gallery-1.4.3_p2 today, on an upgrade install.

Ran the ./secure.sh script as instructed. Cannot login to gallery as admin or user.

I have webapp-config installe don this server, but I was not using the gallery.eclass ebuild.

gallery index page does come up, album browse works, just login appears to fail. no error message on popup login window. If i enter a known bad login/pass, it does report error.

verified on footer of index page, it is running current version, wanted to make sure it wasnt a meld of old/new version.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:

You need to run, configure.sh, so that it re-creates the config.php file. I don't know why this is required, it's just a guess. The upgrade instructions on Gallery's home page say this is the first thing to do when upgrading, even if the new is installed directly over top of the old.

it worked, thx. might be a good idea to upfate einfo in ebuild because it says to upgrade, just run secure.sh.

einfo
einfo "For new installations point your browser to "
einfo "http://localhost/gallery/setup/"
einfo "and follow the instructions."
einfo "--------------------------------------------"
einfo "For upgrades, just run"
einfo "# cd ${destdir}"
einfo "# sh ./secure.sh"
einfo

I've updated the einfo. Thanks for the report and suggestion :)
