Hi, I don't know if such functionality exists, I could not find. Imagine I am testing new kde with dozens of live ebuilds. After 2-3 weeks I would like to see whether something new is there. So I must 'emerge @live-rebuild' in order to rebuild everything, despite fact that there were new commits in some ebuilds or not. Would it be possible to add an extra option (not default to do not break default behavior, only for advanced users) like --skip--updated which will cause that if there were no new commits in git/svn repo, that ebuild is not recompiled again? It will save a lot of time and resources. Regards, Rafal
This functionality exists now in app-portage/smart-live-rebuild and there is bug 482666 for integrating this in portage
