Screenshot xine displaying a MPEG video

Hello!

I use a current Gentoo with xorg server 1.15.0 and xf86-video-openchrome 0.3.3 and every X video display method fails (xv, xxmc, xvmc). I see only some
little part on the left of the picture, the rest is solid violet, see attachment.
I have tried the x video display with xine 0.99.7.

(Additionally I have files Bug #89013 at bugs.freedesktop.org:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89013
but the development there seems not to be very active...

Regards!

Is that the right hand side of the video that is visible on the left side?

No, the visible part of the video on the left side is the left side of the video.

https://mailman.videolan.org/pipermail/vlc-devel/2006-February/022185.html

Have you seen that? Do note that CLE266 is awfully buggy. Many advertised hardware features were implemented barely sufficiently and still required software quirks, even under Windows, and never got updated or properly documented.

Also, I'd hardly consider this a Gentoo bug unless you find that other Linux distros have solved this or don't display the bug. Try to find support on forums and mailing lists instead.

Just for info:
The last driver that worked was
x11-drivers/xf86-video-via-0.2.1-r1
(the former name of openchrome)
