Sorry, no I didn't. That was meant for bug 533420.

Now that it's been keyworded, can you please unmask the "input_devices_libinput" useflag?
Comment 8 Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2015-06-24 10:08:53 UTC
(In reply to Lorenzo Porta (Vindex17) from comment #7)
No, the flag cannot be unmasked globally yet, because alpha, ia64 and sparc still don't have keyworded this package.

The keywords you posted are for dev-libs/libinput, a related package.
Comment 9 Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2015-08-09 12:55:10 UTC
removing alpha as xf86-input-libinput went straight to stable per bug 553500 comment 15.
Comment 10 Fabian Henze 2015-10-29 08:25:49 UTC
Is there any reason the useflag input_devices_libinput is still masked?
Comment 11 Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2015-10-29 10:50:38 UTC
Yes, the reason is that ia64 and sparc have not yet keyworded the package, or masked the input_devices_libinput flag in their profile.
Comment 12 Anthony Ryan 2016-03-22 21:55:53 UTC
Gnome 3.20 is going to have a hard dependency on libinput.

The XFCE developers have indicated a strong preference towards libinput.

Can we get a sparc and ia64 tester in here to finish this up? Various projects are moving towards libinput and we've still got it masked.
Comment 13 Chí-Thanh Christopher Nguyễn gentoo-dev 2016-03-23 10:51:25 UTC
Note that this bug is strictly about keywording x11-drivers/xf86-input-libinput, the dev-libs/libinput keywording is handled in bug 533420.

Also there is no urgency here, as users can simply emerge xf86-input-libinput even if the input_devices_libinput flag is still masked.
Comment 14 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2016-06-30 10:20:23 UTC
@Emeric, can you please take a look to this one for ia64? It will be needed for Gnome 3.20 ;)

Thanks!

Sure.

Here are the results for all the versions currently in portage tree:
- x11-drivers/xf86-input-libinput-0.6.0: failed to compile [1]
- x11-drivers/xf86-input-libinput-0.14.0: failed to compile [1]
- x11-drivers/xf86-input-libinput-0.18.0: failed to compile [1]
- x11-drivers/xf86-input-libinput-0.19.0: emerged successfully (including when FEATURES=test).

Hope this helps,

     Émeric

@sparc: can you please test and keyword it?

Otherwise I would proceed to use.mask it on the sparc arch profile to enable it for all others.

Please do that. It's been long enough.
