IP:Country:Fast is now masked for removal as of 1/22/15 (bug 253443) This bug is fixed in mail-filter/spamassassin 3.4 which uses Geo-IP by default and only falls back to IP:Country:Fast is Geo-IP is unavailable. # required by IP-Country (argument) # /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask: # Mikle Kolyada <zlogene@gentoo.org> (22 Jan 2015) # Unclear license (bug 253443). # No one uses it anymore. You can # use dev-perl/Geo-IP instead. =dev-perl/IP-Country-2.280.0 Maybe patch to support Geo-IP in 3.3.2 until 3.4 is unmasked? /etc/spamassassin/init.pre (RelayCountry is disabled by default) # RelayCountry - add metadata for Bayes learning, marking the countries # a message was relayed through # # Note: This requires the IP::Country::Fast Perl module # #loadplugin Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::RelayCountry
Created attachment 394720 [details, diff] Taken from 3.4 to use GeoIP instead of IP-Country
Would be good if this patch included a USE=geoip flag so that the dependency is visible to portage tools. Otherwise this bug is sure to repeat itself.
