Latest pulseaudio was moved to ltdl dependency due to: 06 Nov 2014; Ian Stakenvicius (_AxS_) <axs@gentoo.org> pulseaudio-5.0-r4.ebuild, pulseaudio-5.0-r5.ebuild: libltdl is only a native dep, so dropped needless MULTILIB_USEDEP flags; also dropped libtool from ~arch version of ebuild to match vapier's pattern in bug 528294; also fixed building with USE=-glib on non-native ABI If not possible to stabilize I guess we could move to || () dep, but please let us know if this is ready to be stabilized or not
Arch teams, please test and stabilize these packages. Thanks, William

Since syncing yesterday morning (2015-02-02), I've been getting libtool wanting to downgrade now and that breaks the stable libltdl. Calculating dependencies... done! [ebuild UD ] sys-devel/libtool-2.4.2-r1 [2.4.4] USE="-static-libs% {-test%}" [blocks B ] <sys-devel/libtool-2.4.3-r2:2 ("<sys-devel/libtool-2.4.3-r2:2" is blocking dev-libs/libltdl-2.4.4) I have neither keyworded/masked, etc. root@aragorn /etc/portage # egrep -rin 'libtool|libltdl' * root@aragorn /etc/portage # I am attaching the big dump from portage that shows all the packages that are requiring >=sys-devel/libtool-2.4. Matt, it seems that it has something to do with installed "squid". The dependencies have been changed ("squid" is now using <=sys-devel/libtool-2.4.2-r1). Take a look at https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=537630 Unfortunately, it breaks also dependencies for other packages too using libtool-2.4.4. I ran into the same problem (stable x86) and fixed it myself by masking >=sys-devel/libtool-2.4.3 until these issues are (hopefully) fixed. Marco

I noticed this in the huge long list of blocks: <=sys-devel/libtool-2.4.2-r1 required by (net-proxy/squid-3.3.13-r1:0/0::gentoo, installed) This is where the real problem lies. Thank you. M.
