I have written an ebuild for Gimp-Perl. This allows The GIMP to be scripted in Perl. The benefits of this should be obvious.

I should have checked here first, but I made an ebuild, too. What a great tool to compliment portage. Devs: this ebuild works for amd64 as well. David: found some good links for the home page section: http://www.goof.com/pcg/marc/gimp.html http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Perl-Debugged/ Also, an alternate source: ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gimp/plug-ins/v2.0/perl/
re comment 3: the goof.com link is for Gimp-1.2, now obsolete. Perl Debugged is helpful though, thanks.
Created attachment 55671 [details] gimp-perl-2.0.ebuild This ebuild that avoids the patch via sed, plus installs in vendor_perl and avoids sandbox violation through declaring myinstall (and yes, this is really necessary).
