Can you please add back the support for versions 2 of eog, evince, gedit, gedit-plugins, yelp and zenity? I use XFCE and versions 3 of these applications look very bad. I solve that temporarily by switching between portage snapshots but it's not very elegant.

As explained in 508854, these applications are not coming back.

OK, I don't like it but I understand your reasons. Fortunately I can build almost all needed GNOME 2 applications by means of an older Portage snapshot. The only exception is Eog, but I've replaced it with Ristretto.
