Vala's 0.26 release was back in September, but so far there's no ebuild for it in portage. On the contrary, newer vala packages are even masked as part of the Gnome 3.14 mask. To me it seems that vala-0.26 runs fine with older gnome versions (it does require glib-0.24 but that's not masked). I have successfully installed vala-0.26 using local updated ebuilds.

minimal changes from 0.24 (new slot, dependency on glib-0.24, removed vapigen flag as vala cannot be built without vapigen any longer).

they will be handled with the rest of gnome 3.14
