Description Marcin Mirosław 2014-10-24 15:21:30 UTC
I've compiled bash with "-fsanitize=address", next I did reboot. Now I'm getting flood messages as below:
==69== AddressSanitizer CHECK failed: /var/tmp/portage/sys-devel/gcc-4.8.3/work/gcc-4.8.3/libsanitizer/sanitizer_common/sanitizer_linux.cc:309 "((proc_self_maps_.len)) > ((0))" (0x0, 0x0)

 in libasan.so.0.0.0[7f1f289ef000+29000]

Now I can't even login du te bash/sh refuses to cooperate with me:)
So I'm wondering if it is bug in sanitizer or it is my fault because I've made default shell unusable?

Reproducible: Always

Please post your `emerge --info app-shells/bash' output in a comment.
Comment 2 Marcin Mirosław 2014-10-24 15:53:15 UTC
I recompiled bash with -fsanitize=address, I could open new window in tmux so I assume that bash was working, but after reboot again I have problems. emerge --info is below.

# emerge --info bash

-fsanitize=address don't work on Hardened userspecs or kernel.
