Just a request for an aplpy version bump. Unfortionately, the package on PyPi uses astropy-helpers, which either requires the package from the science overlay (perhaps with a bump to 0.4.2) or some other workaround. I'd be willing to proxy maintain some of the astronomy-related packages if the extra manpower would help.
Just a bump to note that aply current doesn't work with the newest version of astropy (it uses the deprecated pix2sky / sky2pix functions of astropy.wcs, which have been removed). So an 'emerge aplpy' will result in a broken installation on a new system.
