Description Philippe Trottier (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-29 03:31:26 UTC
Yes I know this is experimental, but that the only one compiling on ppc64 at the moment ... if the USE flag threads could be added it would drop the dependency to portable threads (pth), and this is needed to install rpm.

I have a patch for the .ebuild but I can't put it here yet.

wrong bucket ... goes to ppc64 ;-)
Comment 2 Tom Gall (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-02 20:24:24 UTC
need libgcrypt-1.2.0.ebuild
need dev-libs/libgpg-error-0.7
need dev-libs/libksba-0.9.6

need dev-libs/libassuan-0.6.5
need dev-libs/pth

(all of it builds)

1.9.8 is package masked tho ... have to figure out why
Comment 3 Philippe Trottier (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-03 04:48:30 UTC
do amke check and you will know why, maybe it works better since the new glibc but whith older one it didn't fare well..
Comment 4 Philippe Trottier (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-14 06:11:10 UTC
With the latest glibc + gcc 3.4-r6 I got the package compiling with threads ...
needed for rpm rpm2cpio and rpm2targz
Comment 5 Philippe Trottier (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-28 06:01:44 UTC
The newest glibc allows us to compile this package with or without threads, and a proper gnupg 1.2.x is available ...

Closing this ?
Comment 6 Philippe Trottier (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-04 23:42:52 UTC
There is no need for this anymore
Comment 7 Tom Gall (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-07-17 20:41:03 UTC
