Version 2.0.0 has then been added in my overlay as well, this version fixes several other issues, so 1.2 will not be added to the main portage tree. Once I'm satisfied that 2.0.0 has been tested sufficiently I'll add this to the main tree. Feel free to try this out yourself as well.
2.0.1 has been released too. (I have tested neither)
