GNOME color manager relies on a session component to create profiles with colord. However, it does not express this dependency using standard Gentoo mechanisms. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Gentoo with MATE, carefully avoiding GNOME things not shared with MATE. 2. Install gnome-color-manager. 3. Run gcm-import existing_profile.icc (in my case, the profile came with the monitor on a CD). Actual Results: "The profile was not added in time" message box, making the application useless. Expected Results: Profile added and applied. Or rather, portage not allowing me to install gnome-color-manager. Upstream has closed this as a NOTABUG and advised that one either needs to run gnome-settings-daemon or kded + colord-kde. This is effectively a dependency, but it is not expressed in the ebuild.
