http://infra-status.gentoo.org/ is a fantastic resource! Might it not be "WISE IDEA" to put a button on the www.gentoo.org hope so folks and easily click to see the actual status of the servers? In fact, the button, could be small can green when all is ok. It could be yellow or red for a variety of reasons, to be determined by the infrastructure team with wider input? In fact in the upper left hand corner, is the words "gentoo linux" always in green? Why not color code the name, green means all is well, yellow (?) red (somehing is down)? clicking those "gentoo linux" word can link to --> http://infra-status.gentoo.org/ just a thought. hth, James

There already is a link in the (granted quite confusing) left sidebar. I figure that is all the attention the status site needs. > > In fact in the upper left hand corner, is the words "gentoo linux" > always in green? Having it randomly have different colors is confusing for people who are not familiar with your proposed concept. > clicking those "gentoo linux" word can link to > --> http://infra-status.gentoo.org/ No, clicking a logo should take you to some sort of a front page. > > > just a thought. > > hth, > James
Sorry, I never notice the "infrastructure link before. Maybe that link could status green, yellow, or red, if you like. OK, so close the ticket. James
