Is there a reason for not using the upstream provided service files? see http://w1.fi/cgit/hostap/tree/wpa_supplicant/systemd Following some guide online, I've got confused because wpa_supplicant@.service in gentoo uses ExecStart=/usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant -c/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf -i%I whereas upstream uses ExecStart=/usr/sbin/wpa_supplicant -c/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant-%I.conf -i%I net-wireless/wpa_supplicant-2.2-r1 was built with the following: USE="dbus readline ssl -ap -eap-sim -fasteap -gnutls -p2p (-ps3) -qt4 (-selinux) I haven't got a systemd system, so I'm not sure what this would do to running systems. But from the looks of it, it looks like it would break current systems, since they would be required to rename their config file for it to load. The current solution looks like it is working (there hasn't been any bug reports of it not working) - so for the time being, I'll leave it as it is. If you have a solution for this, that can be used, without breaking anything for our current users, please tell me, and reopen :) Thanks.
