It seems that somehow libtool-2.4.2-r1 became unmasked in prefix, though it still appears to be masked here: http://packages.gentoo.org/package/sys-devel/libtool

The bootstrap fails when it tries to emerge libtool-2.4.2-r1.

The simplest solution is to (re-)mask it, but I am also attaching a patch that seems to fix libtool-2.4.2-r1.
