Please test and mark stable app-misc/sphinx-2.1.8. This version has been in the tree for several months without bug reports and upstream considers 2.1.x the current stable release. Note that the new snowball-stemmer package was already included in earlier sphinx ebuilds and has simply been extracted into its own ebuild.
