I think only kde developers can say if these pacthes should go in. For this issue, discussion is here: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70375 (but it seems a decision is already taken)
The patch doesn't apply cleanly to kdemultimedia-3.3.1.ebuild. I modified it a while ago but lost it by HDD crash :( Jackey, could you update the patch so we can test?

Is this still an issue with JuK from KDE 3.4 or 3.5?
No feedback and according to the upstream bug everybody should use ID3v2/UTF-8,16.
