Description Michał Górny archtester Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev Security 2014-05-14 11:44:38 UTC
I've skipped kerberos since I want to focus on GTK+/Qt first.

You don't seem to have krb5-config wrapper. Please rebuild your kerberos provider (either mit-krb5 or heimdal), and let me know if you were unmasking kerberos early.

Rebuilding kerberos did the work. I had it unmasked earlier I believe.
Comment 5 Konstantin Münning 2014-06-12 12:28:01 UTC
I had probably the same problem, for some reason configure found krb5-config to be i686-pc-linux-gnu-krb5-config which was not existing and compile aborts with the aforementioned unknown type name error(s).

Rebuilding stable kerberos (app-crypt/mit-krb5-1.11.4) did not work for me but with app-crypt/mit-krb5-1.12.1-r1 cups could compile. So maybe a depencency >=app-crypt/mit-krb5-1.12 is needed to avoid this problem.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've just made all new cups ebuilds require new enough krb5.
