Description Ulrich Müller gentoo-dev 2014-03-26 10:16:47 UTC
As already noted by vapier in bug 7200 comment #2, the license of this package is not clear.

The largest source file combat.c has a GPL-2+ license notice. Other source files don't come with any copyright or license notice, and README says "All rights reserved."

I am going to ask for clarification from upstream. Otherwise, this will be moved to "GPL-2+ all-rights-reserved" and mirror/bindist restriction.

No reply. However, the tarball contains a LICENSE file with a BSD license (3-clause BSD, with a request for sending patches disguised as a 4th clause). I believe that LICENSE="BSD" will be close enough, so that we don't need a separate license file.

Strange that I've missed the LICENSE file in the tarball when I looked first.

BTW, the package doesn't build. Bug 507932 now.
