Hi Patrick, I missed that new applications in OF 2.3.0 depend on the cgal library. Moreover, I forgot to set SLOT to 2.3. I have produced a new ebuild patch for 2.3.0 against 2.2.2, fixing these issues. Sorry for the extra work. kind regards Bernhard

As far as I can tell these changes have already been applied to the ebuild - anything left to do?
I've synced my portage tree today and I still see the ebuild form 27th feb without the cgal and the slot number fix mentioned in comment 4. Are these changes already in portage?
I got round to checking 2.3.0 this week after noticing the update a few weeks back. With the attachments in this bug applied OpenFoam worked for me out of the box - for the first time ever! Please apply the patches to the portage tree.
Hi Patrick, I still see the fist 2.3.0 ebuild in my portage tree, without the cgal and slot number fixes. Is there something I can help you with, to bring the updated 2.3.0 ebuild into the portage tree? regards Bernhard
I still see the first 2.3.0 ebuild in my portage tree, without the cgal and slot number fixes. Above you find an ebuild patch from 27th feb, which includes these fixes and makes the first ebuild patch from 26th feb obsolete. Please apply the latter one, so that we get a fully working OpenFOAM 2.3.0 in Gentoo.
