Dear Developer TEAM Ok, I was not suggesting we get IT departments to set up each and every machine from the cdrom. I am in favor too of ONE installation cdrom, with the ability to pickup the extra sources from itself, with the base system running. It is just that I believe that at least one cdrom available to download can make a difference and I would like to contribute in this if possible. All criticism was constructive and I am really looking forward for the ability to a NET-less installation of gentoo. Hope I was clear enough and thank you for your prompt response. just think also of people (like me since I travel around a lot) that most of their time are on 56k. I managed to make my own cd the same way burtzmali did in the forum thread ... but this is something on which many more people will keep on annoying you, so just put something up that clearly states your position to the pubblic. I am just opting for a NET-less install cdrom (1 i guess) being able to be downloaded, or instructions to newbies available on how to make their own cds. Not everyone is able to access cheapbytes stuff, geographically speaking. Thank you again for your kind and prompt response.
Please respond to the original bug report. Opening up a new bug report, to respond to an already open bug report is ridiculous. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 5016 ***
Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
