After installing the new version of x11-libs/wxGTK:2.8, revdep-rebuild told me I had to re-emerge media-video/dvdstyler, because: * Checking dynamic linking consistency [ 6% ] * broken /usr/bin/dvdstyler (requires libwx_gtk2u_media-2.8.so.0) I went to do that and I got: checking for wxWidgets media... no configure: error: wxWidgets media library (libwx_gtk2u_media) is missing. I then tried to downgrade to wxGTK-2.8.12.1 but it misses libwx_gtk2u_media-2.8.so.0 anyway. With some more time on my hands I undestood what the problem is: wxGTk:2.8 still needs gconf (contrary to what is said in bug #499416), because the configure step looks for gconf even when building with gstreamer-0.10.
