The elisp file in the source distribution is called paredit-23.el and is installed under this name.

The gentoo-site-file creates an autoload that loads "paredit" and not "paredit-23", which leads to "Cannot open load file: paredit" errors from emacs when 'paredit-mode is called.

Fixed in paredit-23-r1, renaming the files in the distfile.
