Description Lars Wendler (Polynomial-C) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-01-07 13:25:05 UTC
As per discussion in gentoo-dev mailing list, cronie should become the successor of vixie-cron. To be a full successor we nned it keyworded on the same arches vixie-cron is.

Please _add_ the following KEYWORDS for sys-process/cronie:
~alpha ~hppa ~ia64 ~mips ~ppc ~ppc64 ~s390 ~sh ~amd64-fbsd ~sparc-fbsd ~x86-fbsd
Comment 1 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-01-07 14:00:10 UTC
Stable for HPPA.
Comment 2 Sergey Popov gentoo-dev 2014-01-09 09:48:28 UTC

This cron file dose not work on other cron variants? Dose cronie support this?

Yes. cronie is a fork of vixie-cron. As such, it supports the same crontab(5) options.
