autoconf fail without autoconf due to missing macro AM_PATH_SDL.:

I could install libdc1394 after installing libsdl

how strange, I have seen this one too.  the first error about AC_DEFINE commonly is connected with pkgconfig.  the other, obviously, sdl

Same here.

The libdc1394 configure.in seems to require libsdl, however, the compiled library does not depend on libsdl.

missing libsdl dependency, with later installed libdc1394 emerged without issues.
