Description Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2013-11-25 19:51:33 UTC
From ${URL} :

Linux kernel built with the Marvell 8xxx Libertas WLAN driver support
(CONFIG_LIBERTAS) is vulnerable to an invalid pointer dereference flaw. It could
occur while writing to a file under debugfs.

A privileged user could use this flaw to crash the system resulting in DoS.

CVE-2013-6378 (http://nvd.nist.gov/nvd.cfm?cvename=CVE-2013-6378):
The lbs_debugfs_write function in drivers/net/wireless/libertas/debugfs.c in
the Linux kernel through 3.12.1 allows local users to cause a denial of
service (OOPS) by leveraging root privileges for a zero-length write
  operation.
