I found some kind of similar bugs on this bugzilla but not with grub2 I don't know if it's relatd but my current graphic driver is nvidia-319.60 Compiling in terminal tty1, running emerge -1 portage and using revde-rebuild didn't help... Can you please attach config.log and try to downgrade nvidia-drivers to oldest? The same bug might have gone into different branches; so, need to be sure it isn't nvidia-drivers before we proceed here. Also need to check up config.log.
Created attachment 362688 [details] config.log from grub-2.00-guessed directory *** glibc detected *** ./conftest: malloc(): memory corruption: 0x0000000000f25fc0 ***
It's a slightly different bug; but, did you check downgrading nvidia-drivers?
(In reply to Tom Wijsman (TomWij) from comment #4) > It's a slightly different bug; but, did you check downgrading nvidia-drivers? Very strange, it seems downgrading nvidia to 319.49 fix the problem !
