I just noticed that with www-client/chromium-31.0.1650.34 if I visit a youtube page that has an html5 video, the tab containing the video will become unresponsive until it's closed. This happens with every html5 youtube video I tried, but couldn't reproduce it on other sites with html5 video players. It seems like the tab's process(es) get stuck waiting on something. They continue running even after closing the browser and have to be killed manually. In this regard it reminds me of the old nvidia/tcmalloc bug, but after a quick examination of the stack traces it seems like (surprisingly) the nvidia driver is not related to this problem. I cannot reproduce in chromium-31.0.1650.34 (also html5 youtube). Are you using hardware acceleration (probably default)? You can check in Settings -> Advanced -> System -> Use hardware acceleration when available . Try turning that off, restarting the browser and report what happens. If you have stack traces please post them. If you don't, please obtain and post them, that'd be very helpful.
