Now dev-java/jdbc-mysql depends on Java 6, but Java 7 is current version of Java.

It should be rather changed to >=1.6. A user okias in #gentoo-java reported that it works. However it should be checked if there's some automagic that builds extra stuff when 1.7 is used.

did someone else test? It's only one package in my system, which required dep on Java6. I'll temporarily fork ebuild to my overlay, till it will be fixed. Thank you
