I have the impression that mupad does not work on ppc. The ebuild runs without errors, but starting mupad gives: $ mupad /usr/lib/mupad/share/bin/mupad: line 94: /usr/lib/mupad/linuxppc/bin/mupad: No such file or directory /usr/lib/mupad/share/bin/mupad: line 94: exec: /usr/lib/mupad/linuxppc/bin/mupad: cannot execute: No such file or directory It seems to me that no compiling is done when emerging mupad, and that there isn't any pre-compiled ppc stuff getting installed. So I guess id would be adequate to add a USE="-ppc" to the ebuild.
