Interesting, could we see your `lspci -nn` to know what to look out for? When we know your hardware, it shouldn't be too hard to find the offending commit in the commit history; as these only are two bumps, the amount of commits between them is rather small.

For ex., opening RAW in Darktable or saving it to jpeg (usually - 1st is opened ok, 2nd-3rd will hang system). But w/o high load system may hang later, after some hours, for ex., on browser scrolling (before this - I noticed small lags but I I may miss about this). About specific things - there is zram swap enabled, 2 partitions.
3.10.7-r1 contains a patch for some random kernel hangs: http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git/commit/?id=f30d87b004dcb4b260dcb2667d5ef6998f4aac1f This patch is also present in the latest kernels; so, could you try one of the latest kernels to see if it is fixed for you?
3.10.7-r1 also hangs.
I tried to update to 3.12.0 kernel - it seems like in fresh kernels all is OK.
That is good news, not sure if we will be able to discern the patches in 3.12 that have fixed your issue. As long as 3.12 fixes your problem, I am going to close this as fixed.
