TV-Headend version 3.4 has been the latest stable version for quite some while and 3.4.27 fixes some important memory leaks: "3.4.27 This is a patch release that includes several important fixes: Lots of memleak's fixed by user Benny Morgan XMLTV series/episode number parsing bug fixed DVB service discovery bugs fixed " It is strongly recommended by the tvheadend guys to update to this version. Reproducible: Always
A simple ebuild rename unfortunatly doesn't work. They named their 3.4.227 version "https://github.com/tvheadend/tvheadend/archive/3.4patch1.tar.gz" which doesn't patch portages file naming structure and it thus complains. Btw, while the name would suggest otherwise, this is actually the full release including the patch.
Additionally changing the DL URL to: SRC_URI="https://github.com/${PN}/${PN}/archive/3.4patch1.tar.gz" and the work dir needs to be adjusted aswell: S="${WORKDIR}/${P}patch1" Finally the debian changelog version fix needs to be removed from src_prepare and probably changed to something reflecting the version better. These are all just ugly quick hacks to get 3.4.27 installed for those that need those fixes. A proper way is probably better.
