I´ve just installed and compiled the new Version, but immediatley wondered during compiling about the wrong reported version number of 3.10.2. Then i reemerged the new sources and saw this output: >>> Verifying ebuild manifests >>> Emerging (1 of 1) sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.10.3 * linux-3.10.tar.xz SHA256 SHA512 WHIRLPOOL size ;-) ... [ ok ] * genpatches-3.10-6.base.tar.xz SHA256 SHA512 WHIRLPOOL size ;-) ... [ ok ] * genpatches-3.10-6.extras.tar.xz SHA256 SHA512 WHIRLPOOL size ;-) ... [ ok ] >>> Preparing to unpack ... >>> Unpacking source... >>> Unpacking linux-3.10.tar.xz to /var/tmp/portage/sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.10.3/work >>> Unpacking genpatches-3.10-6.base.tar.xz to /var/tmp/portage/sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.10.3/work/patches >>> Unpacking genpatches-3.10-6.extras.tar.xz to /var/tmp/portage/sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.10.3/work/patches * Applying 1000_linux-3.10.1.patch (-p1) ... [ ok ] * Applying 1001_linux-3.10.2.patch (-p1) ... [ ok ] * Applying 1500_XATTR_USER_PREFIX.patch (-p1) ... [ ok ] ... So the (Update) Patch for 3.10.3 was not applied. Then i opend the genpatches-3.10-6.base.tar file and found that the filename for the 3.10.3 Patch was wrong. Included is a file "1002_linux-3.10.3.ebuild" but the correct name should be "1002_linux-3.10.3.patch" to get applied ;-) So please fix the patchset file. Reproducible: Always
just got the same result as the OP.
I can also confirm this.
Please raise the importance to urgent since it has overwritten my production kernel 3.10.2 Helmut
Can confirm this also, easily repeatable.
Confirmed. Package.masked sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.10.3 until a kernel team member can sort this out.
