gtk-doc-1.19 is NOT ready to be moved stable on any platform. I has added app-text/yelp-tools to its dependency list, this pulls large swaths of gnome into the tree. I don't think that is a wise thing to do at this time. work-around: explicitly disable ~<ARCH> for gtk-doc-1.19
(In reply to G.Wolfe Woodbury from comment #1) yelp-tools depends only on * some standard tools and libraries that most Gentoo systems have installed already (awk, libxml2, libxslt); * a bunch of XSL files for formating documentation (yelp-xsl); and * a python script for translating documentation (itstool). This is not "large swaths of gnome".

Any ideas on when gtk-doc 1.19 will move to stable branch, please? cairo stable is dependent on it https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482822
