I have emerged evms-2.3.0 with kernel 2.6.3-mm3, device-mapper 1.00.08, lvm2 2.00.08. I am sucessfully using a 4-drive md raid-5 array with lvm volumes on top so evms-2.3.0 works overall but the reiserfs fsim (file system interface module) is currently crashing on both my servers. reiserfs version is 3.6.13. evmsn and evmsgui both segfault when trying to create reiserfs volumes. Not tested with any other fsim Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create new LVM region in evmsn or evmsgui 2. Create EVMS volume from region 3. Make reiser filesystem on region Actual Results: At this point evmsgui or evmsn will segfault. The evms volume is sucessfully created. If mkreiserfs is run on the newly created evms volume it succeeds and the volume is usable.
Are you still experiencing problems?
can you please try 2.3.4?
Please reopen the bug if it is still valid.
2.4.0 fixes many problems on amd64, so hopefully it'll fix this too...
Could that be verified?
Closing finally.
