I just wanted to notify you guys that two additional patch sets have been released for nh98 1.16, which the current -r1 ebuild does not include: http://www.haskell.org/nhc98/download.html Especially the gcc33 patch should be worthwile. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Thanks for the information. (BTW, please don't classify as enhancement if, as in this case, there is a real problem, because nhc98 won't build with gcc-3.3 right now.) Unfortunately, with the patches, the build still segfaults on my machine. I have posted the problem upstream. Have you succeeded to build nhc98 using the patches? ks
Yes, I could build nhc98 fine with those patches, although the machine I did it on was not a Gentoo box and had much older versions of pretty much everything installed. It definitely didn't have gcc33, so this information might not help much.
I've given up on nhc98. I have it hardmasked until someone sends a patch or there is a new upstream version. ks
nhc98 has now been removed from portage. We hope to get yhc in when it's ready.
