Hi, I made an ebuild for excelent e-mail client Mahogany. It supports all standard protocols (POP3, IMAP, NNTP). It has nice features like a pwerful sorting mechanism, python scripting, message threading, X-Face, address completion... Everything is configurable and every folder can have its own settings (or it can inherit them from parent folder or from global preferences). Mahogany uses wxWidgets toolkit for its GUI interface. For more info see homepage http://mahogany.sourceforge.net. This ebuild is not for latest version of Mahogany (0.66), because it needs wxGTK 2.5.1 which is not in portage yet. This version needs wxGTK 2.4.2 but I tested it only with 2.4.1-r1 (I have stable stuff). I also didn't test it with python enabled (it needs an old one). :-( There is one TODO in ebuild for palm support. I leave it commented out because I didn't find required library (I did not search a lot). Cheers, Robert

I modified ebuild that it uses 'doc' USE flag. Documentation is build only when the 'doc' flag is set. Thus if not, mahogany don't depend on latex2html (which depend on huge tetex package). New ebuild also checks if GTK 1.x wxWidgets is available (Mahogany does not work well with GTK 2.x wxWidgets).
Created attachment 40052 [details] mahogany-0.65-r1.ebuild Added doc USE flag and GTK 1.x checking.
InCVS, thanks for the ebuild.
