Description Drossos Stamboulakis 2004-04-04 14:54:42 UTC
Ok.
The qt-docs ebuild is uneeded (or needs to be changed), spent a bit of time yesterday trying to figure out why my qt-docs were not installed properly. This is what I found:

For the correct qt documentation you MUST build qt with doc useflag. The qt-docs package is outdated (3.1.2, as opposed to 3.3.1), and if you build it, the documentation will be incorrect and not work correctly with qt assistant.

The problem with this method is that if you have not initially emerged qt with USE=doc, then you must rebuild the whole qt to get the documentation. qt-docs packages needs to be updated/removed

Well, it's still a valid package for Qt 3.1.2, which is still in portage.

Shouldn't it check the qt version, or at least allow you to specify however? This seems like the package is outdated, maybe a warning at the start of the emerge if nothing else...
