Description Aaron Gyes 2004-03-28 16:12:00 UTC
I know it's masked along with all gnome 2.6 stuff, but I'm guessing it wants to be tested. Fails with:

gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../.. -I../../libavcodec -DHAVE_AV_CONFIG_H=1 -msse -march=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -MT libmmxsse_la-dsputil_mmx.lo -MD -MP -MF .deps/libmmxsse_la-dsputil_mmx.Tpo -c dsputil_mmx.c -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/libmmxsse_la-dsputil_mmx.o
dsputil_mmx.c: In function `h263_h_loop_filter_mmx':
dsputil_mmx.c:614: error: can't find a register in class `GENERAL_REGS' while reloading `asm'
make[8]: *** [libmmxsse_la-dsputil_mmx.lo] Error 1

try settings your make jobs lower.
Comment 3 Aaron Gyes 2004-03-29 06:25:56 UTC
I get the same thing with MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge gst-plugins-ffmpeg
Comment 4 foser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-03-29 08:01:02 UTC
try lowering your optimizations and that sort of stuff, you know.. the obvious things.

Wasn't ccache interfering btw, always try building without that messed up stuff...
Comment 5 Aaron Gyes 2004-03-29 14:39:59 UTC
Already tried with FEATURES="-ccache" CFLAGS=""

dsputil_mmx.c: In function `h263_h_loop_filter_mmx':
dsputil_mmx.c:614: error: can't find a register in class `GENERAL_REGS' while reloading `asm'

i had this exact one with gst-ffmpeg CVS for a while, i got rid of it only when using -O1 in CFLAGS, -O0, -O2 or -03 failed, only -O1 worked for me
