Please test the bundled version of katawa-shoujo, so we can figure out if this is related to the ebuild or to our renpy version.

There are 2 things I found out about the bundle: 1. It could not load my save from tree's version. I started a new game. 2. The exception did not occur at the mentioned moment in the game. And it was actually game over. I will attach .renpy directory (created by tree's Katawa Shoujo) which I backup up.

I don't have the source and upstream seems not interested in fixing, so this looks like an incompatibility with 6.14 is this an actual gamebraker? The only solution seems to be to re-bundle it or try to package 6.10, but afair that has problems with ffmpeg.
This doesn't break the game. Even though you can't proceed past this scene, the only thing that's left are the closing credits followed by main menu. But I played only one route, maybe there's something else broken elsewhere.
