Attempting to start X using hardened-sources-3.7.8 results in "BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at ffffffff819b2120"

With same kernel config (make oldnoconfig), this does not appear in 3.7.9-hardened.

Can you try =sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.7.8?

It would point out whether this is a kernel problem or a hardening problem.

Could not reproduce the problem with =sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.7.8. The kernel boots smoothly.

hardened team, looks like this can be closed as according to the user, 3.7.9 is clean.

Yep and I'll take it off the tree too.  I'm shooting for 3.8 for the next stabilization.
