Since syslinux 5 has reached the unstable tree, I tried to update my system running extlinux V4. But at reboot, I got the following message "Could not locate ldlinux.c32". I tried to copy the missing file, but it does not work. The official syslinux page don't mention the version 5 (http://www.syslinux.org/wiki/index.php/The_Syslinux_Project ), and the documentation don't mention that issue. So I would ask to hard-mask it until there is a V5 documentation. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: System with extlinux V5 don't boot Expected Results: Bootable system
What exact commands did you run to update?
I tried syslinux --install /boot/extlinux and syslinux --update /boot/extlinux None of them install ldlinux.c32
Please mask it: https://mailman.archlinux.org/pipermail/arch-dev-public/2012-December/024134.html
I close my request because this is more a global documentation problem.
