The ebuild currently has LICENSE="as-is" which most likely is wrong. - No license is included in the package's tarball. - I cannot find any license information on the HOMEPAGE. Can you please ask upstream for clarification under with terms this package can be distributed?
Can you please ask yourself, before filing these bugs?
(In reply to comment #1) > Can you please ask yourself, before filing these bugs? It's your responsibility as the maintainer to sort this out, before the initial import of the ebuild. Especially, here it's not even clear if redistribution of the package is allowed, so the distfile shouldn't be on our mirrors. This said, myself or another member of the licenses team may eventually contact upstream for those packages that have an unclear license. But we need a bug anyway, in order to trace the issue.
hereby done, i'll reply the answer and change the package accordingly.
Any news?
"ncp --version" outputs the following message: Written by Felix von Leitner <felix-ncp@fefe.de> This is free software; copy and use it as you like. No warranty. Mail to upstream sent, asking for clarification.
I've received an answer (Message-ID <534BC663.9020704@fefe.de>) from Felix von Leitner, clarifying that ncp is in the public domain: libowfat ist GPL, ncp ist public domain.
LICENSE in ebuild fixed.
