compile of mono-0.30/0.30.1 had unresolved compile errors. 
mono-0.30.2 compiled and works perfectly for me.

Just copied the 0.30.1 emerge to the 0.30.2 version, ran ebuild [] digest. And off we go.

Also for some reason my "emerge -DU world" allowed the system to backlevel me to mono-0.28.
