It would be nice to have a link to the viewcvs directory for a package in addition to the viewcvs link to the ChangeLog. For example, I use the viewcvs sources to read ebuilds and check for USE variables and things while I install them. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Well, what's really needed is for packages.gentoo.org to be able to track USE flags (as well as dependencies). This is in the works. And when that's done then a link to the CVS will be less significant. So I will probably close this as a WONTFIX unless there are objections.
That would be a great feature too. I was thinking of the viewcvs link more along the lines of reading ebuilds without opening SFTP up to my server, so I could make find what that ebuild just did if things go wrong. I actually haven't done this in awhile, so maybe the request is moot anyway :) Thanks for checking into it.
Feature will be added to 2.x code base.
