Description Eric F. GARIOUD 2012-11-16 22:47:16 UTC
@ proxy-maintainers, please update the tree with the ebuild for the 3.4.18 release.

Note: Following QA policies as controlled by repoman, the ebuild references the basename of the kernel incremental patches as ${KERNEL_BASE_URI}, that is to say the gentoo distfiles repository, while... the patches are not in the distfiles... yet !

Reproducible: Always

Hmm is there a reason to maintain this old version?

Perhaps it might still be, let's see what the maintainers think of it.

> Hmm is there a reason to maintain this old version?

A/ Because this "old" 3.4 branch is, as a matter of fact, the... youngest long term stable branch.

B/ Because our benchmarks tell that the 3.4 is the best performing > 2.6.38 branch on our systems.

C/ Because... we... believe there is some demand for it.
