Build log should be verbose by default as per talk on dev-ML.

not specific to the ucspi-tcp package.  the qmail eclass takes care of setting up the compile/link commands and any package using that eclass has this problem.

Not really though.  It sets up conf-cc and conf-ld.  Those get read by print-cc.sh and print-ld.sh in the packages, which generate the compile command.  There's nothing that could be fixed in the eclass that would make these commands verbose.  We need to patch the .sh files in the packages themselves.

Unless you want to do automatic patching I guess this is not worth the effort.

It's worth the effort, it's hiding bugs.  But it needs to be fixed in the package, not the eclass.
